This website is in production to help myself keep up to date with the latest website technologies around and make sure I keep to web standard in the design process. My aim with this website is to make this site HTML, CSS and CAG compliant. The website can be tested using a validation tool from the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).
These tools allow web developers to follow a set standard that is hopefully adopted by the software companies and enable a website to work across most modern web browsers. This may not be a reality, but there is only so much you can do. I have tested the website to work with multiple browsers. They include:
Chrome | Windows XP, Vista, 7 and 8
Firefox | Linux, Windows 2000, XP, Vista, 7, 8, Mac OSX
IE6 - IE8 | Windows 2000 and XP
IE9 | Windows Vista, 7 and 8
Opera | Linux, Windows 2000, XP, Vista, 7, 8 , Mac OSX
Safari | Windows, XP, Vista and 7, Mac OSX |
For most websites I would recommend Opera. The next choice is Firefox. These browsers will help you view many websites whilst keeping your browsing safe as possible. These browsers work in a number of operating systems (Windows, Linux, Unix and Mac). Some of the current issues can be found here.
I have implemented the following technologies:
To make the website less painful when browsing, I am avoiding the following:
